She Has Taken Wings

Judith Ann Hartman
8/2/1948 -9/9/2011

Some glad morning when this life is o'er,
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).

When the shadows of this life have gone,
I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away)

Just a few more weary days and then,
I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away)

  1. oh my Joyce..I can hardly believe this has happened so fast. Thinking of Judith, her family and you my friend. Wishing everyone peace in this time of sadness and joy in the future as you remember the times with love now.

  2. Oh dear, I am so sorry. It all happened so fast. I am praying for you and for her family. Be safe and careful in your travels to be there with her family.

    My heart hurts for you. Big hugs. :(

  3. Thanks to both of you for being so supportive. I am still somewhat stunned. We just had a weekend vacation the end of of July, I just talked and giggled with her a little over a week ago. I have never lost anyone this close to me except my Mom, I just don't know how to process it.

  4. It is good for her that it happened fast, but hard for you and her family to take in so quickly. What a shock for you! I am thinking of you and hoping you will find peace after the loss of your good friend.
