This is the way we spend almost every afternoon. On or two will gather and then it's on, Happy Hour. Pretzels, chips, any goody you have come out. Some have a drink, some don't most times the women are working of a project. The dogs mill around, the husbands gather in a circle and tell war stories. If it's cold we have a fire, if it's not we sit in the sun.
When we are home, we can go weeks without seeing or talking to our neighbors, here we spend most of the afternoon together every day. Great people, great fun, I love this place.
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Theodore Roosevelt
That's so cool that you're involved and having a good time. We'll be home tomorrow afternoon and evening. I miss you!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! What a wonderful way to spend each day...this makes me think of my parents who go to Texas each winter and they do many of these same things...as much as I miss having them around here, knowing that they are enjoying life, doing fun things every day with other people and staying active instead of being snowed in all alone out in the country puts such a smile on my face and in my heart. Thank you for reminding me what a blessing it is to have my parents some place warm during this cold and snowy winter we are having!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Wonderful to see everyone having a great time...so much better than people sitting in their living rooms ..alone..with maybe the tv on...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pictures. You look so happy and contented. BUT, is this why you're not on the computer as much as you used to be? If so - take some time off. I miss hearing from you. What is going on in the picture where a couple of ladies have their hands stretched up, in the second picture? After this week (the memorial service is Thursday night)my world should get back to normal!
