Patio is done!!!

So we finished the patio. I don't know why I say we, J did all the work, all I did was rake the rocks when he was done. We will go to the Mesa Market Friday to look for some " art" to hang on the outside walls. It's a " RV Park thing". I think I will get some bigger pots and more flowers too. We have the best lot in the park, we still have lots of room. I think we will look for a fire pit and maybe get a heater and then we will be done. We might extend the patio a little after J takes a day or two off.

We are going to have a couple of cool days this week. I don't like that, I am spoiled. I got an appointment with a physical therapist on Wed, I am hoping a few sessions will calm down my hip. When I get that done Iz and I are going to a trainer. She is doing better but I know I could do a better job with her. Miss you all, love to all.

Design updates

Saturday "the girls" went shopping. I got new towels in the color I wanted for the bathroom. I had to buy towels 'cause the others were threadbare. We have been using them since we started RVing, about 4 years now, so I didn't feel guilty looking for some new ones.

I know it is a bright color but I like it. We only have one window in the big bathroom and I had J put a towel bar across it , so if the skylight is closed (which you have to do on the warmer days, 'cause it heats up the room) it is pretty dark in there.

The duvet cover is a rich chocolate color that I love. This is our first experience sleeping under a duvet and we love it. Being a girl of the south it has always been quilts for us but the duvet cover will be easier to wash since I have trouble keeping a little doggie with dirty feet off the bed. ( actually it's J's fault not the dog, he puts her up there to play.

The pillows show the color better. I am thinking of getting a couple of throw pillow the same color as the towels in the bathroom to give it a little pop.

I am hoping J will finish the patio today and I will post some pictures tomorrow. Made a new cake yesterday but I didn't like it so I am not posting a picture. It was a mix and just didn't turn out well.
Hope you all have a good week, love you and miss you.

So much to do, so little time....

Gosh, the days are just flying by! I am so sorry I am such a bad blogger, the end of the day comes and I think I will do a post in the morning, then morning comes and we are off!!! We went for another jeep ride on Tuesday and a party on Tuesday night here at the park. Pictures tell the story.
Isn't this the most beautiful place.

This is the group that has been taking line dance classes, they are doing really well.

Me having my 1st and last american beer!

J and our next door neighbor Dave, we call them sweetie and tweetie!

One of our neighbors and his brother in law, the wives are in Vegas, uh oh!!

J, begging for pizza!

This place is so much fun. We got the shed put in today but I didn't get pictures, 'cause I went shopping with some of the girls for supplies for a new project we are working on and then we had "happy hour" at our place. Great recipe for Zucchini, I will post soon. Love to all.

Thing to do

Sunday was really windy here and the game ( oh that sad, sad game) didn't start 'til 1 so J and I took a couple of hours to walk the Mesa Flea Market. It goes on forever and ever and has everything you could imagine and some you couldn't.  We were looking for some " art " to put on the front of our shed, when it is delivered. There are several vendors from Mexico who have booths there and we wanted to check them out. We walked for two hours and covered a little over half of the whole thing. I did walk the whole thing once last year, it took me three hours.  Here are some random shots I took.

This is one of our favorite spots, the Mexico corner.

Only after we look at the picture, we realized the dust rag was upside down!

You can buy anything here.

And it goes on and on and on.

I fun way to spend and windy day and get some exercise. Love you all.

My Latest Project

I finally found the prints I have been dreaming about on the internet last week. I knew exactly what I wanted and the size I needed so it was just a matter of searching till I found them. But now I need some help, I want to get new towels for the bathroom, should I match to the print colors? Should I stay with green? The rugs are green and I can't change them(just got them and they fit perfect). What do you think?

Isn't it a  nice bathroom for a motor coach? I do love it. So give me some input what color should I go for?

Together Time

Yesterday J and I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows

What a great movie. I loved the books and each movie gets better and better.

Isn't it funny, the only time J and I go to the movies is when we are out here. I am not sure why that is, I guess it is all the together time we have. Without the daily habitual distractions we have at home we do more together. Not too much though, we are careful to spend blocks of time apart, doing our own things. If we get two or three bad weather days here ( which has happened maybe twice) things can get a little tense. The neat thing about this coach is the bedroom door!  I can just go in the bedroom and read or make phone calls ( course everyone I talk to knows J and Iz both usually end up in there with me).  The other thing I noticed this year, we aren't " on vacation" like we have been in past years. Even last year we were always going to see this or that and ate out every other night. Not so this year, we are just living here this year, kinda neat. But I think we do need to push ourselves to explore a little more. The problem is I hate leaving Iz for long periods. I know, I know, she will be fine. But I didn't get her to leave her alone all the time. It is hard for me to find a balance. She has made great friends with a few of the neighbors and they have offered to dog sit for us so we can go to Mexico for the day. But I have never left her with anyone but my brother in law at home, it will be hard for me. Maybe next month..

Always something to do

Yesterday J went to Barrette-Jackson auto auction with a some friends. He had a great time and these we his favorite vehicles.

1955 Porsche

1962 "Crew Cab" VW

I vote for the VW, isn't it the coolest thing?

Izzie has a playdate

Boy oh boy did Izzie have a fun day yesterday. She got to have two play dates with her friend Sadie. Sadie is just a little over a month older than Iz, her owners got her last year just before we got Izzabelle. Yesterday our neighbor was babysitting Sadie for the day so we got in two playtimes. Gosh these dogs love each other. Most of the dogs here are older and can't be bothered with a puppies playfulness, so to get in two playtimes with Sadie was so much fun for Iz. It was hard to get pictures because they are both very fast, but I think you can get the idea.

Yes I know Izzie needs a bath, but I refuse to give her more than one a week. It is so dusty out here and she is so busy, sniffing and digging and burying things she gets filthy. Thanks goodness I got these ugly sofa covers for the couches. I don't worry if she gets them dirty I just throw them in the wash.

This and That

This is the first thing Izzie does every morning when we open the curtains. She has to check and see what's going on. Crazy little dog.....

Anybody up yet?

Where are you guys?

They must not be up yet, huh ?

My very first Pineapple Upside Down Cake. I had to make two because I had promised so many pieces to so many people.

Sunday Praise

"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations" (Psalms 100:1-5).

Today my sister lost a good friend. They have been friends since they were very young girls, over 50 years.  Please remember her and her friends family in your prayers tonight.
